Beginners (2011)

Rated R

Oliver is a graphic artist that’s dealing with his dying father. A father, who after being married to Oliver’s mother, has recently announced he’s gay. Following his father’s quest for love, Oliver tries to find love for himself.

My favorite character was Arthur. I loved him. Whoever was his trainer, he did a marvelous job and of course the actors did a wonderful job, Ewan McGregor and Christopher Plummer. The actors bring out the heartbreaking and moving telling of new beginners. As both main characters come to terms with their new lives they learn what is important in life. It’s a great tranquil imaginative story, worth a watch.
