Dancer in the Dark (2000)

Rated R

This film is visually stunning.  Nearly blind Selma lives in a mental world of fantastical song and dance. The colors of this mental world are brilliantly vibrant. The film seamlessly flows though the song and dance to tell a poignant story of a mother, who works hard to give her son everything. Selma also values her friendships and when a friend betrays her, she may lose everything she’s work for.  If you are bored with the mind-numbing movies today, I suggest you check out this film. It’s unlike any other musical out there, it will blow your mind.
