This was an outstanding film based on the life of Lou Gehrig. Gary Cooper portrays the Iron Horse to perfection. The love of Lou and his wife, Eleanor was incredible but maybe a little too sugar-coated. This film goes beyond being a baseball film. It’s a film about life and the joys and sadness that goes with it. Very well done.
