Stephen King’s Thinner (1996)

Rated R

Obese attorney Billy Halleck  accidentally runs over a gypsy woman. The grieving father places a curse on Halleck’s head causing him to lose weight. Starring Robert John Burke, Lucinda Jenney, Bethany Joy Lenz, Time Winters, Joe Mantegna

I really don’t know what to say about this film other than, I couldn’t wait for it to over. It was boring and predictable. It also like King’s later books and movies that lean more on being a smart story than on horror but it falls short. I would prefer to watch The Green Mile or Stand By Me.  Thinner wasn’t worth a watch.
