The Vow (2012)

Rated PG-13

A Newlywed woman who goes into a coma after a car accident wakes up unable to recognize her husband. Starring Rachel McAdams, Channing Tatum, Jessica Lange, Sam Neill, Tatiana Maslany, Lucas Bryant, Scott Speedman

This filmed is based on the true story of Kim and Krickitt Carpenter who wrote a book based on their story. I must say read the book. I was sorely disappointed in the film. I really disliked Rachel McAdams character, and I really love Rachel. I thought she was a selfish b****. I truly thought her character should have more respect for her self and honor her decision of who she married. I also thought this film did a great disrespect for people with memory loss. The didn’t show how much Rachel McAdams character could have changed or also how she would have fallen in love with her husband again. Instead, the filmmakers went for the stab in the heart feeling. I did not like. Don’t let my review cloud your judgment. I don’t think it was a waste of time watching it, just thought it could have been better.

I felt the EXACT same way about this movie and then I realized there was a book a few days ago shopping through Target. I was SO ANGRY after that movie was over. I’m going to have to read the book just to make myself feel better.
