I do believe this is typical writing of Hunter S. Thompson but what the heck is this movie about. It’s self indulged of Thompson if this is based on his life. There is nothing redeemed of Kemp, the main character. I had known clue where this film was going. Johnny Depp is his usual quirky self and Giovanni Ribisi disappears into Moburg. So, I’ll say check this film out only if you are a fan of Thompson, Depp, and Ribisi, if not I would stay away from this film, far away.
