12 Dogs of Christmas: Great Puppy Rescue (2012) Rated PG

12 dogs of christmas IIBased on the book 12 Dogs of Christmas by Emma Kragen. This is a sequel to the  first 12 Dogs of Christmas. Emma returns home for a funeral only to find out that puppy orphanage is being shut down. She gathers her friends together to create another holiday event to save the dogs. Starring Sean Patrick Flanery, Danielle Chuchran, Skyler Holman, D.B. Sweeney

This film would have been cute, if they would have stuck to the 1930s both in costumes and behaviors. The clothing is obviously not from the 30s. It was like today’s clothing made to look like the 30s. This was most apparent during the basketball game. The girls come in with cheerleader outfits with short skirts and dance in todays provocative dance moves. Girls in the 30s would think twice before doing that. The filmmakers even made a point of this by having the opposing team in traditional 30s cheerleader outfits. I was quite disappointed with this movie. I wish they had done a better job with fluidness of the film in time and behavior.

  1. This story will appeal not only to doggie-lovers but to everyone who enjoys seeing good people fight for good causes. Set at Christmastime, it’s nip and tuck to see if the dogs can be rescued and find homes for Christmas.

Very cute movie. I was unsure about ordering it with the mixed reviews, but it was cute, and I enjoyed it.
