Butter (2011) Rated R

butterAt the Iowa state fair, a young foster girl is pitted against a determined housewife in the butter craving contest. Starring Jennifer Garner,  Ty Burrell, Garrett Schenck

This film takes something, as boring as butter craving and makes it entertaining. As in most competitive contests there is some backstabbing, power, and conflicts. The film pokes fun of everyone and itself. It’s funny, quirky, and odd but what dark comedy doesn’t have that. It’s a film that people in the butter craving competition will probably not like. Especially because it does make fun of middle America. To me it was enjoyable for what it is worth.
