Hemingway’s Adventures of a Young Man (1962) Rated NR

hemingways_adventures_of_a_young_manA Young man from Midwestern America longs to be a writer. To do this he must learn about life. Based on Ernest Hemingway’s autobiography short stories on Nick Adams and A Farewell to Arms. Starring Richard Beymer, Diane Baker, Corinne Calvet

I enjoy films based on life experiences and this one has it in spades. I felt the actors portray their characters to the best of their abilities, the film is long and drawn out. Almost like life, although, too long and poky to enjoy the story of Nick Adams and his ups and downs while following his dreams. It’s a film you don’t have to miss but make sure you are a fan of Hemingway’s.
