Jack and the Giant Slayer (2013) Rated PG-13

Jack_the_Giant_SlayerJack opens a gateway to the world of giants which reignited the war between humans and the giants. Starring Nicholas Hoult, Eleanor Tomlinson, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci

I think Bryan Singer missed the point with this film. Ewan McGregor should have been the star of this film. I think I would have enjoyed it much more had Ewan’s character been the focus of the film. With the script written simply and not thoroughly, the special effects overwhelms the story. The film doesn’t draw me in and I keep wonder why we aren’t focused on Elmont, he’s the only one with the good lines. Even though, I found this film a little ho-hum, I wouldn’t pass it up as family film. Children old enough would probably enjoy this film.
