The filmmakers seem to think we’ve read the book and know who these characters are. Well, I haven’t and I don’t know anything about these characters. They did try to fix this by having flashbacks but the flashbacks tend to disrupt the  story instead of helping the story along. The film starts off on a bad footing when the couple gathers everyone they know together to apprehend a killer in a past case. This was a joke. The couple moved from family member to family member giving reason and why not this person was responsible for the murder. This didn’t give me any answers to the characters nor did it help with the new case that this whole movie was about. I wish I could have enjoyed this more but alas I didn’t. This is another miss for me.
