A comedy about a married couple trying to conceive a child. Based on the novel Inconceivable by Ben Elton. Starring Joely Richardson, Matthew Macfadyen, Hugh Laurie, Emma Thompson, Rowan Atkinson, Dawn French.
This British romp about trying to conceive a baby falls flat, unfortunately. Sam and Lucy try to conceive, but Sam’s job gets in the way, as well as their own communication problems. I wanted to like this film, but it lacked the genuineness needed from the characters and there wasn’t a sense of completion to the story. With this amazing British cast, I expected much more, but even the jokes seemed forced and out of place. I would prefer to watch the movie She’s Having a Baby than this rubbish. This film is not worth a watch.
