Nearlyweds (2013) Rated TV-G

nearlywedsDuring their first year of marriage, three friends discover that the pastor who married them all forgot to file the paperwork, making their marriages not legal.  Now they have to decide if they will each remain “married” or not. Starring Danielle Panabaker, Jessica Parker Kennedy, Britt Irvin, Ryan Kennedy, Travis Milne, Steve Bacic, Naomi Judd.

I thought this film captured the ups and downs of the first year of marriage in an honest, endearing way.  Each girl has problems with her spouse that she must figure out.  With the unofficial marriage licenses, they now each have the opportunity to leave their marriage, which adds a unique twist to the story.  This film was fun and charming; however, I was disappointed that they all didn’t choose to remain married.  When you marry someone, you make vows for life; you don’t get to just say, “Oops, I guess I made a mistake.  I’m outta here.”  But, that’s what happens in this film.  Even so, I still enjoyed the film as a whole, and think it is worth a watch.
