Mickey Blue Eyes (1999) Rated PG-13

mickey-blue-eyesAn  auctioneer proposes to the daughter of mobster, unaware he would be asked to do favors. Starring Hugh Grant, James Caan, Jeanne Tripplehorn.

This film was surprisingly fun to watch. It has everything you could want in a mafia comedy. It isn’t brilliant by any means, but it is a feel-good film that ends on a happy note.  Grab a bowl of popcorn and have a few laughs with these endearing characters.  Grant is a great guy who just wants to marry the love of his life without having to join “the family business.”  Caan plays the family patriarch who tries to honor his daughter’s wishes by helping his soon to be son-in-law.  Charming and delightful, this film is worth a watch.
