Terry (2005) Rated NR

The film tells the story of Terry Fox and his cross country marathon through Canada with an artificial leg, to raise awareness for cancer research. Starring Shawn Ashmore, Ryan McDonald, Noah Reid.

This is a great inspirational film about a man who wanted to recognize those struggling with cancer.  A survivor himself, who lost his leg to cancer, Fox decides to run a marathon a day across Canada. The film is singularly about his run and the message he spreads along the way. Ashmore is excellent in his portrayal of Fox, showing us the daily struggles he faced and his stubbornness and temper which fueled him across the country. Even without any backstory into Fox’s life, this film is still very good and worth a watch.
