Mark Felt: The Man Who Brought Down the White House (2017) Rated PG-13

Mark Felt, who under the name of “Deep Throat” helped journalists uncover the Watergate scandal in 1972. Based on the autobiography by Mark Felt.  Starring Liam Neeson, Diane Lane, Marton Csokas.

The film covers Mark Felt’s journey leading up to the election of President Nixon and the uncovering of the Watergate scandal. There are no twists and turns, and there is no action to speak of. Although it is slow-paced, the actors give phenomenal performances, with the exception of Lane. I felt she overacted and was out of place in this stunted script. Too many pieces of Felt’s story are missing, making it disjointed and unsatisfying to watch. This film is a pass.
