Disconnect (2012) Rated R

A group of people try to make genuine connections in a world where we are always online. Starring Jason Bateman, Hope Davis, and Frank Grillo.

This is one of those films that follows a group of seemingly disconnected characters, but as the story unfolds, the characters discover the connections they share. The film does a great job showing how disconnected we are from each other even as we seem to be more connected than ever. Disconnect reminds us that what we share online isn’t private – it’s shared among many. This film that has a good premise, but it isn’t always explored in the best way. However, it’s still worth a watch.
