The Christmas Train (2017) Rated TV-G

Inspired by his father, a journalist takes a train ride cross country where he meets other passengers. Based on the book by David Baldacci. Starring Dermot Mulroney, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, and Danny Glover.

This film has everything you can imagine for a Christmas film. It has romance, intrigue, mystery, and drama; you never know what is going to happen. Of course, the main focus is romance with background stories of a thief, young love, and writing a script. The film does have a fun little twist at the end, which is cute but not necessary. It’s brilliantly written with clues throughout the movie for the mysteries, but it’s not enough to make you question what or why. The film is just one of those movies that’s just too cute for the holiday season and worth a watch on a snowy evening.
