Dirty Dancing (1987) Rated TV-14

During her summer vacation, “Baby” Houseman falls for the resort’s dance instructor. Starring Jennifer Grey, Patrick Swayze, and Jerry Orbach.

I know this film isn’t one of the best films out there, but I love this movie. It goes beyond the romance, the music, and the dirty dancing. The film has a wonderful story about how we all have preconceived notions about each other. The film represents how everyone looks at the cover and not underneath the exterior. The music helps; it has one of the best movie soundtracks. The performances by all the actors also help make this film a cult classic; their chemistry is amazing. I think the filmmakers hit the jackpot by casting actors that dance.  If I’m flipping through the channels, I’ll stop and watch this movie. I don’t know how many times I’ve seen it. The script is brilliant. How do we change the world? We look deeper at the people around us and what makes them who they are. This is a film that’s worth every watch.
