Madam Secretary (CBS) Rated TV-PG

A drama looks at the Secretary of State as she balances work and family. Starring Téa Leoni, Tim Daly, and Patina Miller.

This show has a lot going for it. It’s great to see a woman in a top political role. She also loves her family and is great at putting her family first. Téa Leoni plays the role perfectly, and her TV husband, Tim Daly, is great at being her partner in life. If only we had this kind of Secretary of State, our world would be better. However, she oversteps her boundaries at times, and sometimes those boundaries wouldn’t work as well in real life as it does on TV. Alas, this is TV. At times, it’s unrealistic in the laws and habits of the foreign policies. The show needs to iron out some things, but I think it’ll come into its own. I’m not one who would enjoy watching the show, but it could be better. It’s not worth a watch.
