Ender’s Game (2013) Rated PG-13

In the near future, an alien race attacks Earth; Ender Wiggins is recruited to an élite force to help save the human race. Based on the book by Orson Scott Card. Starring Asa Butterfield, Harrison Ford, and Hailee Steinfeld.

The books in this series focus on Ender’s mind and what transpired in his mind. Thus, making the books difficult to transfer to the screen. That’s the being of the problem with this film. The movie is supposed to bring to life that the last resort for the human race is to train children to fight the alien invaders. But instead, it shows a bunch of kids acting like kids playing video games. The complexity of the book is not the carried over to the film.  The movie is more like a simple, frivolous story; it’s not worth a watch.
