The Heart of Christmas (2011) Rated TV-G

The Locke family has discovered that their two-year-old has leukemia. While they try to make his last Christmas a good one, a businesswoman meets them and reevaluates her life. Based on a true story. Starring Candace Cameron Bure, Jeanne Neilson, and Christopher Shone.

This film is not the usual warm and fuzzy holiday film. It’s a film about real life and the struggles we all have. It does have a family theme and reminds us that family is the most important thing in life. It’s based on a true story, so they don’t sugar-coat the story or change it to make the film more uplifting. This is not a film for families that have lost children. It’s so emotional as the family fights for their child while another realizes that she’s losing precious time with hers. This is a film that is worth a watch.
