The Big Short (2015) Rated R

In 2006, a group of investors bet against the mortgage market, and while researching, they discover how corrupt the market really is. Starring Ryan Gosling, Rudy Eisenzopf, and Casey Groves.

This film covers a topic that is not understandable for most of the viewers. It’s not a bad movie, but it is a topic that is hard to understand, and explaining it to viewership is even harder to do. It does an ok job, but it does struggle with telling the multiple storylines that it has going. The chattiness of the film makes it hard to understand the scenes, making it void of emotion. The acting, on the other hand, is brilliant as the viewer tries to decipher where in the storyline the characters fit. This film is caught between being interesting and way too complicated. This, I have to say, is not worth a watch.
