Dead of Summer (Freeform) Rated TV-14

In 1989, Camp Stillwater awakens an evil ancient mythology. Starring Elizabeth Mitchell, Elizabeth Lail, and Alberto Frezza.

This series has an interesting plot; it has the element of a summer horror flick in a TV series format. The characters are the typical ones in horror films, where they are not smart and you can anticipate their problems before they see them. The pacing of the show struggles. Due to it being a TV show and not a movie, the deaths are few in between the storyline, making the pacing at length. I wish the 80s scene would stand out more; it’s there, but it’s not as prominent as it should be. This show is not worth a watch.
