Adam Sandler is either a hit or miss for me as a comedian. This film is one that is a miss. I really didn’t find it very funny – mostly because the humor comes from putting down other people. Not that there isn’t redemption in the end, but through most of the film, it’s making fun of people from the south, people who are stupid, and the culture of America. While the culture is always something that can be funny, the other have their time and place to be funny. What the film does have is a solid story: a stupid boy makes good. The film is mostly stupid humor, which if you are a preadolescent boy, I’m  sure you would enjoy. In all, the acting is brilliant, nobody cracks. Although that’s just not enough to make the film; it’s still not worth a watch.
