Cyrus Kriticos, is a collector of rare things, and when he dies, he leaves his house to his nephew. Once inside, the family learns they share the house with 12 ghosts.  Starring Tony Shalhoub, Embeth Davidtz, and Matthew Lillard. 

This is the basic popcorn entertainment of horror films. We watch as a paper thin story moves along with a mixture of gore, clichéd situations, and mediocre special effects. The story is basic with a few twists, turns, and jumps. The story doesn’t have much depth to it, and we don’t have much background on the 12 ghosts or how Kriticos built such a house (or the cost to live in it). The film, for the most part, has a great list of actors to make the film worthy of a watch. Shalhoub plays the straight man as the patriarch of the family. Lillard takes on the  psychotic flaky psychic character with his normal brilliance. Shannon Elizabeth is the eye candy as the daughter. The film, overall, is a horrific trip through a house made of glass with 12 ghosts trapped inside. It’s a film for popcorn munching, but it’s not worth a watch.
