The Irresistible Blueberry Farm (2016) Rated TV-G

A woman receives a letter from her grandmother to bring to a man that’s living in her childhood home in Maine. Based on the book, The Irresistible Blueberry Bakeshop & Cafe by Mary Simses. Starring Alison Sweeney, Marc Blucas, and Shirley Jones.

This film’s storyline is a little bit different than the usual Hallmark fare. The film does have the usual love triangle as Sweeney’s character is engaged when she meets Blucas’. The chemistry between the two is great, and the breakup between Sweeney’s character and her fiancé is rather sweet and understandable. Although the blueberry farm is beautiful for cinematography, the additional character of it seemed out of place. While the story is charming, and the actors have chemistry, the film does have continuity issues; that’s not new to Hallmark films. However, it’s one of the few Hallmark films that was worth the watch.
