Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021) Rated R

Set in 1998, we learn the history of Spencer Mansion and Raccoon City. Starring Kaya Scodelario, Hannah John-Kamen, and Robbie Amell.

This film is what most remakes and reboots are, it focuses too much on the action part and not enough on the story. There doesn’t seem to be anything new – except more action. There isn’t much in the way of depth to the story or characters. However, there was interesting casting with Amell, Neal McDonough, and Avan Jogia. McDonough, by far, looked and acted the best. Jogia was interesting, and I enjoyed seeing what he did with the character, and Amell was there to bring the muscle. The film is decent but not worth the watch.
