Eight home cooks compete in culinary challenges that showcase culinary skills ala Julia Child. Starring Antonia Lofaso, Michael Voltaggio, and Susan Feniger. 

I am shocked that this show has not been created before now. This is a show that needs to be on TV. Not only are the challenges geared to Julia Childs’ life, but the prize is culinary training in France. What it lacks, however, are interesting characters. Whether it’s the judges or the contestants, neither holds the spark of Child. The show does a wonderful job of sprinkling the show with clips of Child cooking. That is the best part of the show – the clips of Child. However, they should highlight the techniques and the making of the different dishes. This show, while not the best, is still worth the watch.
