The Ladykillers (1955)

Rated NR

A  phenomenally written dark comedy. This film doesn’t have any cheesiness to it. It’s very witty in the comedy. I really enjoyed how simplistic Katie Johnson played the Old Lady. She was a gem. I wish more comedies were written this way. The performances of Peter Sellers and Alec Guinness brings out the amazing writing of William Rose.
