Auntie Mame (1958) Rated NR

auntie mameAn orphan goes and lives with his eccentric aunt. Starring  Rosalind Russell, Forrest Tucker, Coral Browne

This is a fast paced play that became the musical Mame. We follow as Patrick, the orphan grows up with an aunt that’s eccentric and an executor who is conservative. That, of course, brings the high jinx. To me, this film is too long. That’s not saying it isn’t a good film. I just got tired of the back and forth of the eccentric aunt and the conservative executor at every stage of Patrick’s life. If you enjoy campy humor you might just enjoy this film more than me.
