If I Stay (2014) Rated PG-13

If I stayYoung Mia Hall was in a car accident, now she must decide whether to die or live. Based on the book by Gayle Forman. Starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Mireille Enos, Jamie Blackley

What was the point of this film? I saw no point to the movie. Here is a girl who must decide between life or death and the only thing I saw was teen angst. There seemed to be no logic to what decisions that Mia made other than young love. Which I saw as not a reason for her decisions and question whether she would be happy in the long run. I blame the author for all this.  The movie reminds me of one of those teen novels, one that’s nice and fluffy but lack any real depth or thought process to make any real decisions in life or in this case death. This is a miss for me.
