Catfish (2010) Rated PG-13

catfishYoung filmmakers document their friend’s online relationship. Starring Yaniv Schulman, Ariel Schulman, Henry Joost.

This film takes you on quite a ride.  Even though the filmmakers insist that everything is real, the movie makes you question whether the scenario they are presenting is real or not.  I certainly am not one to believe everything I read on the internet, but this film makes you question everything on the film itself.  Who are these people, and who is Megan?

This film is the starting point for the TV show Catfish, about people who lie on the internet. It’s really not the best film.  I thought the filmmakers were too mean at some points and not harsh enough at others, given the nature of the lies that were told.  For the sake of the ride alone, though, I say it is worth a watch.
