A Vow to Cherish (1999) Rated NR

a-vow-to-cherishA businessman’s life is turned upside down when his wife gets sick. Based on the book, A Vow to Cherish,  by Deborah Raney. Starring Barbara Babcock, Ken Howard, Ossie Davis, Kevin Downes, David A.R. White.

As is the case with many Christian films, this is not the highest quality production.  However, what it lacks in budget and technical expertise, it more than makes up for in storytelling.  This film does a tremendous job unfolding the story of one couple’s marriage, with its ups and downs and twists and turns.  You will be drawn into this family’s journey, as they struggle with the disease that is slowly taking their wife and mother from them.  The actors did a fantastic job performing their roles for this difficult, yet heartwarming story.  It is worth a watch (keep Kleenex nearby).
