The Adventures of Tintin (2011) Rated PG

adventures-of-tintinThe reporter Tintin and Captain Haddock set off to look for a sunken ship that was commanded by Haddock’s ancestor. Based on the comic book series by Hergé. Starring Jamie Bell, Andy Serkis, Daniel Craig, Nick Frost, Simon Pegg, Toby Jones, Cary Elwes.

As an American, I am not very familiar with Tintin, but this film is brilliant. It is based on three of the comics by Hergé, The Crab with the Golden Claws, The Secret of the Unicorn, and  Red Rackham’s Treasure. It combines all three stories to make this an action-packed film, expertly directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Peter Jackson. This is a great family film with incredible visual effects and epic storytelling. It’s worth a watch.
