The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn (1984) Rated NR

A teenage boy and his friend, a runaway slave, sail down the Mississippi. Based on the book by Mark Twain. Starring Simon Hinton, Alistair Duncan, Barbara Frawley

This is a compact version of the story of Huckleberry Finn. it eliminates the controversial aspects of the book while maintaining the friendship between the two main characters. However, as watered down as it is, the majority of the original story is lost. It’s great for young kids, but I have always been one for truth, and this film is so weak that even the truth of the story is lacking. This movie is a pass.
