The Long Road Home (2017) Rated NR

The American forces in Iraq are ambushed in a Baghdad neighborhood. Based on the book by Martha Raddatz. Starring E.J. Bonilla, Darius Homayoun, Jon Beavers, Josh Blaylock, Joey Luthman, Jorge Diaz, Franklin Silverio, Joshua Brennan, Thomas McDonell, Devonne Palmer, Charlie Parrish, Micah Pediford, Devyn Placide, Ian Quinlan, Carter Redwood, Alex Ross, Nirav Sevak, Ezekiel Z. Swinford.

This miniseries follows an event that happened on April 4, 2004 which changed the way the military viewed Iraq. The military transitioned from what was a peace-keeping mission to fighting domestic insurgents. The miniseries isn’t the best and neither is the acting, but the attack on our forces is as real as if it happened yesterday. The show brings to life  those on the line and those on the home front, telling their story, which needs to be shared. This miniseries is worth a watch.
