I really wish they would go back to what makes these characters great. The film is at its best by showing lots of action and destruction. Is that what makes these characters great? No, it’s a moral compass that these characters have. Why don’t they highlight this? The plot doesn’t make much sense, and then there’s Henry Cavill’s performance. I’ve never minded it before, but this was the worst I’ve seen him play a part. He was ridged and seemed unsure of how to respond with Superman dignity. This film is ok and worth a watch for its action, but if you enjoyed the original characters, this isn’t worth a watch.
