Set in the future, a family must live in silence to survive against monsters who hunt by sound. Starring Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, and Millicent Simmonds.
This film is amazing. The acting was brilliant across the board, and the suspense has you on the edge of your seat. I usually multitask as I watch films, but with this film, you cannot multitask. The challenge of survival pulls you in, and the film tells an excellent story about a family and the love that they have for each other. There are holes in the plot that are missing explanation, but if you were a fly on the wall in the family’s home, none of those things would have been explained. It doesn’t make the film any less worthy to watch. I have to say that if this is John Krasinski’s first film as a director, then it’s great even with the monsters – such details! The film is brilliantly done, even for the hearing impaired as the film is mostly done in sign language. This movie is worth a watch.
