The Little Drummer Boy Book II (1976) Rated TV-G

The drummer boy tries to protect the bellmaker’s silver bells from the Roman soldiers. Starring Greer Garson, Zero Mostel, and David Jay.

I was a little disappointed in this film. Unlike The Little Drummer Boy, which focuses on the birth of Christ, this film focuses mostly on getting the bells to announce the birth. The film tries to have as good of a message as it can with consumerism, but it isn’t very strong. However, the stop motion animation is just as good as all the other Rankin/Bass productions. The film is based off of two songs, Do You Hear What I Hear and The Little Drummer Boy. Like I said, the film is not exactly what I expected, making it not worth a watch.
