Before We Go (2014) Rated PG-13

Two strangers meet on the streets of New York, and while stranded there for the night, they become each other’s confidants. Starring Chris Evans, Alice Eve, and Emma Fitzpatrick.

This film is very reminiscent of the Before Series by Richard Linklater. We have two strangers meeting for the first time and becoming emotionally attached. Although, the Before series is better than this. There’s a couple of things that keep the movie from flowing as well as it could have. One, the movie centers on her rather than the pair; when they ask the man what he thinks, he gives a pat answer. They don’t seem to gather into a deep conversation. What it does have is warmth and heart and real humans trying to connect. Even though it isn’t a Before film, it’s still worth a watch.
