Eddie the Eagle (2015) Rated PG-13

The film is based on the life of Eddie Edwards, who charmed the world at the 1988 Winter Olympics. Starring Tom Costello, Jo Hartley, Keith Allen, Taron Egerton, and Hugh Jackman.

This film is one of those underdog true life stories. It’s based on Eddie Edwards, who decided one day to ski jump and make it to the Olympics. During the Olympics in 1988 Calgary, Canada, Edwards was the laughing stock of the Olympics. This film used the humor that is Edwards and turned it into a great underdog story. The film brilliantly combined humor, suspense, and drama into a great story. It’s not a documentary, but it had great camera angles to show how extraordinary Edwards was.  Although, there were times you could see that the joke was on him. That’s the part I hate, but it’s a good underdog story and it’s worth a watch.
