This Is Us (NBC) Rated TV-14

A heartwarming and emotional story of a set of triplets, what they struggle with and their relationship with their parents. Starring Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, and Sterling K. Brown.

This show is one that really does like to pull at your heartstrings. It’s very emotional. I would have loved to really dive into this show, but having just finished another series that was emotional too, I didn’t. The show jumps around the timeline of family events to tell the story of what makes each of the siblings tick. The show is built around a twist where you have no idea what could happen, and what does happen brings you to tears. I can’t imagine doing this night after night. It’s brilliant in writing, but it is overly dramatic at times. It pulls at your emotions all the time. Too much. It’s a show that you can love or hate, but I will say that the writing is what makes this show watchable. It’s worth a watch.
