A youth embarks on a journey to find his grandmother and discover that Santa is real. Starring Elmo Shropshire, Michele Lee, and Susan Blu.
There are a lot of things about this animated adventure that make its status as a classic questionable. The film follows the song as best it could. However, I treasure the song as a warm, happy family experience rather than a dysfunctional family drama. This is not a fun romp for kids to watch. I wondered about the animation as it’s geared more toward adults than kids. Then you have the voice acting, which works at times but doesn’t always match the characters. To me, the film is low-budgeted. I would really like to see this made with a bigger, giving us a more Christmasy, family-oriented film. This is not worth the watch.
