Charlie Brown is obligated to attend Peppermint Patties’ New Year’s party but would rather read War and Peace. Starring Chad Allen, Kristie Baker, and Melissa Guzzi.

This isn’t one of the best Charlie Brown specials. The film has the usual Peanuts gang problems – obligations are put on the back burner for fun. Some of the characters are annoying in this special, but it still has the Peanuts’ heart. However, there are moments that aren’t typical for the characters. It’s such a mixture of classic Peanuts and not really Peanuts that it doesn’t make much sense. Thus, the film is not worth the watch.
