I was so looking forward to this film, even though I knew little of what it was about. However, it wasn’t one of the better made films, and it showed. I struggled with the difference in Winslet’s and Hemsworth’s ages. The film really wanted to highlight Hemsworth’s sexuality, so he was always semi nude. Then you had the overly stylized film shots. I also struggled with the storyline, as Winslet’s character seemed cursed because everything bad seemed to happen to her even though she tried to fix the situations. This film was interesting but really not worth the watch.
