I really enjoyed the 1947 movie of the same name. Although, the movie is more of a romance between the sea captain and the woman of the home. This series has the sea captain interacting with every member of the family. It’s a cute and funny half hour program that has him interfering with the family’s life. Mulhare is a classic sea captain and Lange, as the woman of the house, brings the comedic timing. It’s a show that is worth the watch.
