Monsters University (2013) Rated G

A look at the history of Mike and Sully before they became friends. Starring Billy Crystal, John Goodman, and Steve Buscemi.

Well, this isn’t a bad prequel, but it isn’t the best either. It’s a typical college story that most of us have experienced, and it brings the nostalgia of college days. The animation is better than the original film. While the story is good, it doesn’t quite capture the frustration of not getting exactly what you want even with hardwork. The voices are great. Crystal and Goodman are surrounded by talented actors that bring interesting characters to life, like Helen Mirren as the Dean of Monsters University. This film might be enjoyable for young kids, and for those that want to relive their college days, it’s worth the watch.
