Nuremberg: Nazis on Trial (2006) Rated NR

A documentary miniseries that profiles the defendants at the Nuremberg trials. Starring Matthew Macfadyen, Richard Overy, and John Dolibois.

This miniseries brings to life the story of three Nazis that were on trial after the fall of Nazi Germany. It moves back and forth between the color reenactments and the black and white footage of the trial. You get to see the inside of their minds as the come to terms with the loss of world domination and the indisputable facts of what they did during Hitler’s reign. You see the lawyers discussing the cases, and the experts talking about the case. The only problem with these documentaries is that we don’t really know whether these men were aware of what they were doing or just following orders. After watching this, I feel that they were just as human as the rest of us, and no one knows how they would react to being in the same position as these men were. Any one of us could turn on our fellow men if we felt it was the right thing to do. This series is worth the watch.
