Not Forgotten (2009) Rated R

In a border town by Mexico, a husband and wife must face their past in order to find their kidnapped daughter. Starring Simon Baker, Paz Vega, and Michael DeLorenzo.

This film doesn’t hold up to the thriller genre. While there are twists and turns, they aren’t that surprising. The acting isn’t bad, but again I was not surprised with the twists and turns. I was able to figure out where they were going from the get-go. The story is intriguing, although, there is a supernatural element that doesn’t make much sense unless you come from Latin America. It isn’t a deep story nor, as I said, thrilling. It is also somewhat open-ended. It’s an interesting watch with actors that are entertaining on their own. Ultimately, however, the film is not worth the watch.
